iPhone 3G only one speaker working?

loud speaker volume and battery life on iphone is terrible compared to Blackberry
I had a Blackberry for about 2 years and the loud speaker volume is at least twice as loud as the iPhone. This is why I believed that the iphone was defective and had one broken speaker. thanks for clearing that up.
I really expected more from iphone considering that Apple has such a reputation for audio devises like the iPod. Apple needs to take some lessons from BB in both the audio department as well as the battery longevity department. BB battery lasts twice as long as iphone and is twice as loud.
How I cope
.. when i really need to do some serious talking I just switch the sim card from the iphone back to the Blackberry!!
both phones have their strengths.. maybe we need to see another mega-merger.
