Any 3G users notice that when they try to zoom in using the camera app, it zooms in but once the picture is taken, the picture is not zoomed?
Another Bug for 3G users. and also, does anything have a guess at when Beta 2 will be out?

I hope that isn't a bug, the zoom feature is a digital zoom, so essentially you are cropping the picture when you zoom. It's nice to use while taking the picture to see your subject up close, but when it saves it I hope it saves the full image instead of the pre-cropped one. You can go and crop it yourself afterwards if you are unhappy with the distant framing.

You're not really cropping the picture. It's making the picture look closer and essentially adding information that is not in the picture. That is why digital zoom sucks. The aftermath of the digital zoom is still the same pixel size as if you did not use the digital zoom (1600x1200 on the iPhone 3G, whatever picture size the 3GS uses).

On the 3GS it causes the picture to be splotchy with some color and some black and white.

probably in a week or 2.
