This is outrageous! Quoted from the BBC website "The price cut applies to the 8GB iPhone 3G which will cost $99 from 19 June. However, UK iPhone operator O2 has confirmed that the price cut will not apply in the UK."

What in the world is up with that? Phil specifically said the iPhone was going to be decreased in price to enable more people to enjoy iPhone! Sadly that isn't going to happen in the UK. We have been well and truly screwed once more!

    Or not...

iPhone 3G in the USA: $99 + 48 month contract
iPhone 3G in the UK: £FREE + 48 month contract

    Simple.

Think about it... $99 for a PAYG.. iPhone? Seriously? That's like £80. But on contract, it applies

    Ummmm ... really? £35 = $55.80. The lowest plan for AT&T is $70, which = £43.90

There also isn't a price reduction on a PAYG iPhone! It's still £350 and the iPhone 3GS is £440 thats the most expensive iPhone EVER! Surely the price reduction will reduce the 3G price making the 3GS take the place of £350? The 3G isn't even worth £350 anymore! It's a year old!
