Hey i just noticed today that my iPhone 3G is making a light screeching noise when it is on. If i put it to sleep the noise goes away but as soon as i turn it back on the screech comes back. Its not very audible normally but if i put it near my ear you can definitely hear like an "eeeeeeeeeeeeeee" noise. Anyone know what this is or if its anything to worry about?

i remember when the voyager came out on verizon there were backlight problems that caused this noise, best bet would be to take it to apple and get it replaced

Well if you're on a phone call that would probably pi** me off x12.
I think you should go to an Apple store and get it checked out, if they can repair in then great news.

Merry Christmas 🙂

Do you think a restore would help? Cuz i just restored the other day and i just noticed this noise after that restore, or is it a hardware issue?
