iPhone 3G speaker not working?

I don't know what's funnier about these post; the OPs, the ensuing pile on, or the people that earnestly post the answer after the question has been answered 10x. It's like they don't read anything after the OP. Maybe they're on dialup.

I was kinda disappointed everybody didn't go along with sending the OP to the genius bar. Thought it was a new unwritten macrumors rule...

I have the exact opposite problem. Sound keeps coming out of one of the two microphones on the bottom of the phone.

It's Normal

When i first got my iPhone 3G i was extremely frustrated when i discovered what your talking about! So i went up to AT&T and started talking to a sales rep. and he told me that 1 side is the mic and the other side is the speaker. I ask why they did that and he said they did it like that on the original iPhones. So nothing is wrong with your iPhone 3G its just how the audio speakers are.
