iphone 3g sync issue

hi every one.

I have a question regarding my iphone 3g. Every time I sync it with itunes , it first backs up and takes 4-5 hours. Everytime I sync , I am adding 20-30 files , most mp3s but I am wondering why it takes so long to back up...is there something wrong ? can i disable this back up feature ??? or make it faster ??

Click the "X" to the right of the backup status. It will cancel the backup and continue with the sync.
