Th iPhone 3G of my sister since some days has a white display (see attachment), what can I do? It can be a software problem or it is for sure a screen problem? thank you

You can try restarting it completely, hold both buttons (past shut down) and if that does not give you any results it is a problem with the screen or digitizer.

the screen lights up and shut down but it is still white 🙁
