New update... put in the old Dock Connector and the Home Button works again, so now I've got a Catch-22.... either leave the old connector in and have a working phone that doesn't sync OR put the new one in and have a phone that syncs but doesn't work properly :(

Or of course Plan C- swap out the connectors only when I need to jailbreak/unlock the phone but have to disclaim this when I get rid of the phone.

And Plan A for now- I already messaged the seller on eBay, let's hope he stands behind his product and either sends me a new one or refunds my money

Well, my iMac and iPhone are both still under warranty, and the iPhone works with everything I plug it into BUT my iMac, so I've got a 1PM appointment at the Apple Store tomorrow to see if I can sort out this BS.

Finally got it to work! Involved getting a replacement Dock Connector from the seller, but it actually works now.

Question now- Should I unlock it or wait until I'm ready to sell?

I am very dependent on my GPS for fitness apps(one of the reasons I can't wait to get a new iPhone4 as it gets a better GPS signal and has more battery life) and found out that the one downside to the new BB required to unlock is it could de-activate the GPS :(

iphone 3gs wont sync/charge via usb on computer.

im having the same problem, i cant charge or sync my iphone 3gs from any of my home computers, i have ive used ipod usb cords that would normally charge my phone from my computer, but what i dont get is i have an ipod home docking station that charges my phone no problem & i can charge my phone in my truck no problem. i took my old ipod nano and i plugged it into my computer & in synced in a split second no problem. the plug outlet deal in the phone im thinking has a loose connection or somehow shorted out, so i bought another that im going to put in the phone, ive had my phone since september of 2009 and i just recently started having this problem about 3 weeks ago. firmware maybe a factor in it because all these itunes updates & stuff now is being based for the iphone 4 & its knocking 3g iphones out of the water, just another way for apple to get u to spend 400 dollars on a new phone.
