Does anyone know if I can purchase the iPhone 3G but keep the same plan I currently have? (i.e. Edge network) The closest 3G metro to me is 2.5 hours away so it's sadly going to be useless to me-but of course I want the newest and the best so I'll make the sacrifice if I have to. I'd like to keep the same plan with same features but not have to pay the extra money each month for the 3G capability...

Anyone Know?

I looked around and couldn't find an answer to this.

Thanks!

No. If you get a new iPhone 3G you have to sign a new contract with the $30 data plan. Unless you buy the phone later with no contract for $599 or something (price may be wrong)
