iPhone 3G wont restore!

My iPhone 3G is in restore mode and it says to plug it in to itunes. when i do it starts to restore until it get about 3/4 done then an error message 1015 pops up and the restore doesnt work? does anyone know what this means?

did you try and put 4.0 on? i don't think you can downgrade so it wants 4+

yeah thats what I tried, is there a way i could get 4.0 on my phone?

I did the exact same thing and i haven't been able to find a solution so i have just bought a space on a developers iphone list. Search ebay for iphone 4.0 and you'll see 😉

You can downgrade. Just follow this post. Worked fine for me on my 3G about half an hour ago.

tried that, its not working so great...cant get the terminal to open up iRecovery
