    Hi all,

Is there any software for the 3G that enables you to read and even modify word, excel documents etc. I really hope there is!

I have to say now I have had my iPhone 3G for a month or two I am very dissapointed on the limited use: Cant send attachments on emails, can't send picture messages, cant connect with others and send stuff via bluetooth!

I know a few will dislike this comment but its actually quite S**t in terms of what it can do in comparrison to normal UK mobile phones. DIssapointing.

If anyone can point me in the right direction on office doc reader for it that would be great but going on the current limited usage I doubt there is any, hope someone can correct me!

You can read documents, but right now there is no capability to edit. Check out the App Store in iTunes for several options. Also, you can do a search here.

Did you read the specs before you bought the phone?

I'm coming from another smartphone, and the iPhone does have some limitations compared to my old Treo, but it also has some huge advantages. I was well aware of both before I made the switch.

Have you looked at Files and FileMagnet? I believe those are the most popular for what you're looking for. There's also MobileFinder and DataCase, but I haven't heard as much about them. Right now, they all have their pros and cons, and you might have to buy more than one to see what works best for you.

Do any of these applications not require a remote storage facility like webdav? I would prefer to store the files directly on the iphone as often i am in an area with no wifi or connectivity so would be unable to access my files and documents.
