I saw some videos on Youtube of people having the same issues as the iPhone 4 owners with holding their phones and loosing signals.
I did a test with a 3Gs running 4.0 and a 3G running 3.1.3
Both had full service
Both lost signal when held on the bottom sides
Both gained signal once left
