iPhone 3GS a run?

My Jailbroken iPhone 3g runs pretty slow and sluggish with some of the addons installed. I've used a jailbroken iPhone 4 and noticed that it runs amazing, but I don't think they're worth the price. So how well does a 3gs run when jailbroken? Has anyone ever had any lag with some of the addons? Like different themes installed and SBSetttings running?😕
