Hey guys,

I'm just chiming in to see if anyone else has encountered this particular issue I'm running into. Here's the system details if it matters:

1) Macbook pro running OSX Snow Leopard (10.6.3)
2) iTunes 9.1.1
3) iPhone 3gs just updated to 3.1.3

After my iPhone was updated to the latest firmware, I proceeded to restore my encrypted backup that I created prior to the firmware update. I selected it from the dropdown in iTunes and entered the password. The backup restoration made it about a third of the way through the process (according to the progress bar), but then an error pops up saying that the restore process failed and that the iPhone disconnected. Looking at the iPhone screen, there's an error saying that the restore failed, that the iPhone would need to be restarted and that I should try to restore again. I have attempted it several times without any luck. I would really like to get this backup back on my phone since it contains all my latest contacts, notes, and photos. I've googled for a tool that I could use to extract my data from the backup file, but it seems that all the available tools will not work with encrypted backups. Anyone have any good ideas?
