I currently have a Bodyguardz (front and back) on my iPhone 3GS, and I first was wondering whether the front is ruining the "oleophobic coating."

Whether it is ruining it or not, I don't really like the textured feel of the Bodyguardz screen shield, so I was wondering - What is the best screen protector that's clear and not really weird-textured?

Please give me a link and some advice, Thanks a lot.

By the way, I've seen the SGP and Power support crystal (They might even be same company, I don't know). Those look good, but I wanna find out the best one. If those are it, let me know.

PS and Steinheil are probably the two most popular ones out there. Personally, I like the PS shields better (static cling rather than adhesive on the Steinheil) but I also had a bad experience with the Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint so I'm not a fan of SGP in general. I've used Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint (hated it but most here seem to favor it over the PS Anti-Glare), PS Anti-Glare (used it on my 3G for about a year and loved it), and I am currently using the PS Crystal (love it except for the fingerprints).

i have a ps crystal on my phone and love it! im debating on switching to the 32gb iphone before my 30days is up but then ill have to buy another ps and at $15 that can add up quickly. :\

You do know that the PS shields are reusable right?

i have 2 small hairs under mine as it is.. i would need to get a new one for sure. it sucks that bestbuy doesnt carry them as the apple store is 1.5hr from me and i got my phone from bestbuy lol

power support

i have tried the free screens that come with the cases (rebel and incipio), and they're all very hard to put on. i am currently using a power support anti glare and i LOVE IT. it has a very nice texture and it is much easier to move your fingers across. also, the PS anti glare is very easy to put on because it is a little thicker. I do want to try the PS crystal clear and see if it is the same texture.

So is SGP or PS better?

After you choose one, which one of their products is better?

SGP - Crystal or Anti Fingerprint

PS - Crystal or Anti Glare

I'm looking for a good screen protector that doesn't get scratched up or smudged too easily. I also want whatever is less blurry and clear.

Thanks.

If you want less blurry etc. then you will have to go crystal. I hate the look of the anti glare's. You will get more smudges and prints though its just something you gotta deal with. Wipes away easy witha microfiber though doesnt bother me much i cant even tell its on there.
Powersupport is what i use btw.

Yes the PS crystal is simply amazing.

- Very easy to install perfectly
- No one can even tell there is a protector on the screen
- Peace of mind with no compromise on screen quality.

I bought the anti glare as well but haven't tried it as the crystal just looks too good. highly recommended

I use a BSE on the my black back and notice the orange peel - how anyone can put one on the iphones screen is beyond me, criminal even..

Thanks for the input, any more would be greatly appreciated!

By the way, I have the Bodyguardz on the front, and I think people are being overly paranoid. The oleophobic coating will not merely rub off, nothing to worry about. I felt it and it looks like it still does a good job or preventing fingerprints. Love the 3GS.

Anyway, I have a question for people who have owned the Bodyguardz and the Power Support Anti-Glare/Anti Fingerprint. I really dislike the look and feel of the Bodyguardz front cover. Does the Power Support Anti Glare look and feel like the front of the Bodyguardz? If it is not as grainy and sticky, I will get it. If it is sort of identical, I will go with the Crystal. Or, I would like to hear some input about the SGP Anti Fingerprint. Someone please help.

I havent personally owned the anti glare ive just looked at it form a friends and i cant remember the texture didnt mess with it much. The crystal is perfectly smooth though it feels almost just as smooth as the glass.

I've had the Bodyguardz front screen protector a couple times, but the Power Support Crystal screen protector just looks and feels much better. The Bodyguardz's texture isn't as smooth as the PS, and is easier for dust buildup and discoloration. Definitely going with the PS from now on.

I've been using the PS anti glare and I love it. Thinking of trying out the crystals as well. What do those of you that have tried those that come with other cases (ie. switcheasy rebels and speck candyshell) think about the quality in comparison to PS? I have a ton of those lying around.

Yeah I've decided to go with the PS Anti-Glare. I had a invisibleSHIELD on my iPod Touch 2G and a Bodyguardz currently on my iPhone 3GS, and I love the fact that they don't show fingerprints and stuff too much. I used an iPhone 2G today with no screen protector and it was just annoying.

However, I want to replace my Bodyguardz because the texture is just annoying.

Has anyone owned both the Bodyguardz AND an PS Anti-Glare/SGP Anti Fingerprint that can comment on the texture? If the Anti-Glare is clearer and more smooth (like the original glass on the iPhone) than the Bodyguardz, I will definitely pick it up. Thanks for the input but i need a little bit more

The PS Anti-Glare/SGP Anti-Fingerprint is not smooth. When you try to rub your fingers on it (i.e. swiping) you could something is rubbing your finger - this is due to how the screens are manufactured to offer the anti-fingerprint effect.

If you could go to an Apple store and ask any Specialists/Sale that has an anti-glare on their iPhone, you'd see(feel) what I meant. Good luck 😉

when using a screen protector

has anyone noticed a rainbow effect when looking at the screen through polarized sunglasses? I have a screen protector, which from what I can tell is the identical to the PS film, from fullbodyfilms.com and I guess it has something to do with the olephobic coating and the screen protector because I didn't have this issue with the 3G.

well im going to vote for the PS Crystal cause i think thats whats on mine...

hell, i received my refurb phone with a protector on it (clear sign someone owned it before me)...it was soo clear that i didnt even notice i had one on there and actually had another placed on top of that.

Ok, on the PS Crystal or Anti-Glare, are there those "rainbow" effects that you get after talking on the phone? What I mean by rainbow is, after a phone call on my iPhone w/ Bodyguardz in which my cheek or face touches the screen, there is some weird coloring that looks rainbowish on the Bodyguardz. It occurs with more "oil," but I am wondering is the PS Crystal or Anti-Glare have this. Thanks

stop wasting every bodys time and just buy the dam PS crystal already.
no rainbow
no orange peel
heaps of fingerprints
PS crystal on front
bodyguardz/BSE on back
