any1 got any ideas why my iphone takes 44 seconds to boot up not that its really bothering me but its quite embaressing seeing a 3g boot up faster than mine. mine is unlocked and jailbroken does that make a difference?

My 3G probably takes even longer than that to boot up. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes, depends by how much stuff you got installed like themes, winterboard items, lockinfo etc.....
I just tested my jailbroken 3GS it took 32 secs.

I knew it was a 3GS, but you were comparing it to a 3G. I think it depends on what you have on it and how much free space is left over. I have almost 15 GB on my 16 GB 3G.

My 3GS took 26 seconds (32 GB, something like 2+ GB free, jailbroken).

Mine also took around 26 seconds. 32GB 3Gs (2GB free) - no jailbreak.

Sometimes if your jailbroken it can take longer for it to boot up. I happened with my iPod Touch it took longer to boot when it was jailbroken.

I think it's amusing how my MacBook boots up faster than my iPhone does. I can probably fully boot up my MacBook and power it completely down before my phone turns all the way on.

    Under a minute, HA

My jailbroken iPhone 3GS easily takes 2-3 minutes to boot everytime and I am not exaggerating. I would only love for it to be under a minute but no dice.

My 3G just took 55 seconds to boot, so just compare your phone to mine and you're all set! Happy to help.
