Hi,

earlier this morning I was using my iPhone when all of a sudden it powered down. When I tried turning it on I was met with the CD/Please Connect to iTunes Screen.

So, I opened iTunes and hooked my iPhone up to my MacBook.

Then the message about something "In Recovery Mode" and "Restore iPhone" popped up.

I have just purchased quite a few apps earlier this week and taken countless photos, however due to having a bug and being ill in bed I haven't booted my MacBook up therefore I haven't synced my iPhone/transferred purchases etc.

I have been googling "How to exit recovery mode on iPhone 3GS" for hours and I've been trying a few of the instructions mentioned on other threads/posts etc.

However none of them have helped and I am a complete technospazz and I am now getting to the point of desperation because I cannot use my iPhone and I really do not want to lose any of my photos/new apps etc.

Can anybody offer any help or suggestions please?

any advice/help will be gratefully received.

Thank you.

Kind Regards

Charlotte

you need to download tinyumbrella. it has an option to kick device out of recovery. it should work for you.

Ok, so I have downloaded and installed the program and saved it in Applications however it is advising me that there are 0 shsh files to cache, what does this mean and what do I do next? (Sorry for being so dense).

Kind Regards
