iPhone 3GS + car tire =

My girlfriend's father ran over his beloved iPhone today. It fell out of his back pocket when he got in the car. Then he heard it get crushed and got out to see what the noise was. It was the phone, unforutunately.

It had one of the Otterbox cases on it so if you were wondering if these cases can protect the phone from you running it over with your car, they can't.

my buddy actually ran over his 3G with his Volvo, but he was a little luckier than this guy. his screen was still pretty cracked, but readable somehow.
 
That looks way too cool how the screen gets cracked like that

But I think he should get the new iPhone 4 since this one is done for.

I'm sure they will. My coworker left his 3GS on his car, started driving down a 50MPH street, heard something fly off. Found it in pretty much two pieces. Phone, then the screen. Replaced it for 199. Hell of a deal.
 
You should take it in and tell them you have no idea what happened. You just woke up and it was like that and you want a warranty replacement. Would love to see the look on their faces.😛
