Hello friends,
Today I got caught is a massive downpour and when I got in my car and looked at my iphone 3GS it had a yellow icon and it said "Charging is not supported with this accessory."
This happened to me once before but I was able to fix the problem with a toothbrush and a vacuum.
I haven't been so lucky this time around.
On the plus side! My music plays, everything works, it plugs in just fine! From what I can tell the ONLY issue is this error on my home screen. At this point it appears to be little more than an eyesore.
I will be putting my phone in rice tonight and running it for the day tomorrow. I will then restore it tomorrow night if I dont have any luck.
Please send some suggestions.
Thanks so much!

Charging is not supported...

There is a piece of wood under, and it helps. Now works 100 percent, without any pop up message :).

Charging is not supported with this accessory

Hi there i have had the same problem for weeks!! And it disapears and then comes back constantly and is destroying my battery life as it keeps the screen on!!! Tried reset and also cleaning where i attach the charger.also tried reset.
It doesnt only happen when im charging its throughout the day while im at work
Can anyone help ??
Im also on the latest update.

I used to have this problem with an AT&T car charger (go figure). To remedy it, I usually just plugged in into the phone a few times. I think it was either an issue with the prongs or it just couldn't get a decent connection.

My suggestion is try a different charger if you have one. See if the message pops up.
