Hi,

I have an iPhone 3GS. Unfortunately I dropped it and the screen is shattered. I have Apple care until June 2011. Do you guys think if I take it to the Apple Store, they will be able to replace it with a new one? If they are going to replace it, will they replace it with a new 3GS or an iPhone 4?

They might, wont hurt to try. Why would they replace a 3GS with a 4?
Replacement will be refurbished but looks new. basically is.

Unless they just don't have any 3GSs and your Genius is in an exceptionally good mood, I don't think you'll get a 4 out of it. Won't hurt to try.

Either way, let us know what happens!

Oh they'll certainly replace it, but it might cost you $200
And they'll just give you another 3GS

IF they replaced it, it would be with another 3GS.

I dropped my iphone 4 and brought it in and told them what happend and they gave me another one free of charge. I didn't ask for a new one I was just honest. Doesn't hurt to give it a shot.
