Has happened two days back to back -
set iPhone alarms, use the top lock button to turn off screen. Wake up the next day to find the alarms haven't gone off, the home button not working and the white Apple symbol on black background showing indicating the phone crashed. Goes back to locked screen in a few seconds after that.

Anyone else having his problem? Can't trust my phone as an alarm at the moment - already very nearly missed a job interview and an important meeting!

I've never ever had an alarm fail on any iPhone from 1st gen to 3GS. Try restoring and setting up as a new phone. If that doesn't work, take it back for an exchange.

Yes! I found this thread through Google. My 3GS is crashing a *lot*, and last night it crashed somewhen in the night, and didn't play my alarm this morning, and I was late for work!

I've put more info here. I don't know what to do :(
