My 19 day old iphone has a defective screen! 2 days ago, it started going between a flickering screen, discolored screen, to all white screen. The phone still is able to sync to itunes, receive and make calls, although at times I cannot see what I am pushing. I tried to reset it and restore it as well via iTunes. Went to the genius bar today, after fiddling with it they said they could try to replace the screen, if that didn't work they could send it back and order a replacement phone in 1-4 days. But they would not swap it for a new brand new boxed phone as I bought it from AT&T. And I would be phoneless for the time as they do not offer loaner phones. I was also worried that the "replacement phone" would be either a returned phone or a refurbished phone. So I went to AT&T, the rep there was a thousand time nicer than the "genius". AT&T will exchange it for a brand new unopened boxed phone, and give me a loaner phone in the interim. I just have to wait 7-10 days until it arrives.
