iPhone 3GS heating up and randomly restarting springboard?

hey guys my iphone 3gs is been having some werid problems
everytime i charge it the phone is getting really hot , its getting so hot that its just restarting my springboard

this mostly happens when im charging

anyone know a fix to this problem?
