iphone 3gs jailbreak sync

hi there people. i am new to this forums thing but i am wondering if anyone can help me.

i have a iphone 3gs 8gb backed up and synced to itunes (this hasnt been jailbroken). my friend is selling her iphone 3gs 16gb (jailbroken) but i was wondering can i sync the new iphone to my itunes accout without removing the jailbreak.

i dont want to remove the jailbreak as it is unlocked an thats the only way i will keep it unlocked without paying anything.
 
Yes, you can sync a JB device with no probs with itunes.
Once you sync it to your library the stuff that was on it before from another library might be removed.
 
so im ok to sync the new iphone to my itunes account and the jailbreak wont delete but my songs,images, apps etc will go onto it fine.
