iphone 3gs not accurate when touching screen

I dropped my iphone 3gs and broke screen and lcd changed them out and everything works except when i go to tap an app it selects the one beside it. I tried Hard reset then retored back to new phone but still same problem. Any suggestions

Sounds like a defective replacement part or something damaged during the installation.
