My iPhone works well with the exception that I cannot sync it to iTunes for required hardware updates. The issue appears to be that the hardware is not recognized by Windows XP Professional. I have tried all the recommendations received from Apple Help Center including uninstalling iTunes and re-installing the latest version of iTunes to no avail. I was told that it was a Windows issue and / or combination of other 3rd party software (security / anti-virus) but I do not know how to troubleshoot this. I will greatly appreciate any recommendations that may be provided (please keep in mind that I am not very tech savvy - more like a beginnier / novice ;o)

You installed the latest itunes and still nothing?
Maybe something wrong with your windows OS.
Reinstall XP pro if you can.
