I recently replaced the digitizer on my iPhone 3gs after cracking it and all seemed well except the proximity sensor has stopped working. I read on here about someone else having a similar fault due to them getting glue on the sensor when glueing on the digitizer.
I decided I didn't want to try and seperate the screen and digitizer again so instead bough a complete lcd and digitizer already assembled. Problem is I've fitted it and I still have the same problem
. Everything works (including the earpiece) except the proximity sensor. I can't understand what else might be the problem, perhaps the connector itself?
