Iphone 3gs question

If you have a 3gs with 3.1.2 (7d11) and firmware 05.11.07,

can i jailbreak it and get cydia ? or will i have to wait a long time? i bought the phone at 3.0 and i want to jailbreak it so i can get 3rd party apps. thanks people

If you bought it and it was at 3.0, you should be able to jb. It's only the brand-new ones that are coming out now that can't be jailbroken yet.

thank you for clearing that up ! because i was starting to get upset, and just thinking about it the 3gs phones that wont have the new firmware will go for alot you think?

Only those with 04.26.08 Baseband will be worth a lot, as they're still unlockable. Right now, almost all 3GS phones can be jailbroken using blackra1n, just the ones with the new iboot can't.

well baseband is for unlocking the carrier.. and you can use blackra1n to unlock any iphone

Blackra1n allows you to jb any phone, not unlock any phone. Using blackra1n will actually upgrade your baseband and prevent you from unlocking for now.

Yes, JB but not unlock Pwnage Tool 3.1.4
