Hi,

I've just got a 3GS, but have noticed that the signal strength of the device is no where near as good as my 2 year old 3G phone.

They are both running on iOS 4.1,

My 3g will get 3 bars and this will get 1, and when the 3g phone has 5 solid bars the 3gs only has 3-4.

Is it a common problem?, if so when will it be fixed (or has it been fixed in the upcoming 4.2)

Or is there something i can do on the phone to help improve it.

I tried a system restore, but that didn't change anything :(

Many Thanks

Dont worry. You should only be concerned when you are getting dropped calls.

Well im a bit conccered that i cant get signal around my phone, where as i used to get 2 bars on my old 3G.

I cant even downgrade firmware as iTunes wont let me.

Anything else i could try and do to improve signal?

I have already switched of 3G signal (as we dont get it in my area)
