    I jailbreak/unlocked my iPhone 3GS on 3.0 firmware with redsn0w/ultrasn0w.

When I look at "carriers" in Networks settings I can see both KT and SKT networks. My iPhone works roaming with either my AT&T (US) sim or Softbank (Japan) sim on KT and SKT respectively. Obviously the unlock worked as advertised and I can connect to the networks, place calls, data roaming etc all works. After unlocking I put in my SKT Sim, it recognizes the sim then I get a message saying "Restricted Network. Your selected cellular network is restricted. You can select a different network in settings". I have the option of Dismiss or Settings. If I Dismiss the warning all I get is No Service displayed. If I select Settings and choose KT, SKT or Automatic I get the same error message again. I can see the networks but can't connect to them with the SKT sim in my phone.

I really hate to think I paid $699 for a device that I'll use as an iPod Touch.
I was pretty confident in the unlock so wasn't concerned there, just didn't expect to see some sort of network restriction applied by the carriers.

Any ideas what I might be able to do to get around this? Is this IMEI related?

    Thanks,
    Pete

Basically they told me "you have to use our phones, it is a restriction".
