Hey folks, My iPhone 3GS - about a year and a half old, scraped up from some falls and tumbles - has a broken power button. The physical button popped out a while ago and was lost, and I could still turn it on and off for a while by using a penny or something to depress the mechanism inside the casing through the hole, but for about 3-4 months now it's just been completely useless and if I want it to turn off I have to let it die. I did that earlier today and then charged it to about 30% before leaving work. I walked to the subway, checked my email en route, and then when I got out of the subway 35 minutes later the phone was completely dead. A quick browse around these forums told me that the only way to fix it would be to press the Home and Power buttons for 10-15 seconds to initiate a manual restart...but I can't do that since the power button is broken! Any ideas?? My phone is stuck in limbo.
