Is the iPhone 3GS so old that Apple removed the software update feature entirely? I unlocked my iPhone 3GS from AT&T so I can let my sister use it on a pre-paid non-AT&T plan, but I have to factory reset the device and restore it to do an unlock.

The problem is, iTunes says there was an error when it tries to download the software, and when I try to download the ISPW file from a place like this (http://www.iphonehacks.com/download-iphone-ios-firmware), it gives me a server error.

Does anyone know where I can find the 6.1.6 ISPW file?

Use another computer that has the latest itunes installed.
Just plug in the iphone and click restore.
Let itunes download the firmware for you.
