I have an iPhone 4 16GB model number MC308LL whereas my brother has the same iPhone 4 16GB model number MC316LL. My screen seems more yellowish and dingy color compared to the cooler colored MC316LL.

My coworker also has model number MC316LL. What are the differences? A search on google brings more results for MC316LL and MC308LL does not.

I have MC318LL.

My 308 model had the yellow patches and warm screen tone. It also had a bad proximity sensor. The replacement unit (316) has no such issues and works great!

I have the MC18LL, 16GB. This is a replacement to the first one that completely froze and would not boot up. I have noticed a warmer tone to the screen than the previous one. Compared it to about 10 displays at the apple store and they were all cooler toned. Not sure how I feel about it yet. It is noticable on a white background, however colors seem more vibrant. IDK.

I will probably just keep it.

this is the first time i heard multple iphones same capacity and color have different model numbers

MC318LL 16gb and have a warm color tone (no spots)

i compared it to a friend's iphone which has a blue tone and some other display units in the apple store. its a mixed bag. some have cool color tones and some have warm color tones.

i personally think the warm looks better (not biased because i have a warm colored one) because the whites actually look white and not off blue.

Mine says: Model A1332 EMC 380A...

Anyway it's only issue is every time I talk on the darn thing the speaker phone or mute button gets pushed.

I am experiencing the same problem on my 3GS since updating to iOS4, this proximity sensor issue must be software related.

Still waiting for iPhone 4 in Canada.

only issue with mine is my damn battery.. I'm SUPER unimpressed so far... my first phone had a faulty battery, this second one still doesn't seem like it lasts very long.

EVERYTHING is off, and i mean everything, even 3G, and after 4 hours I'm at 60% battery already... just doesn't seem right.

EDIT: 4 hours standby, only 23 min. usage... such a shame, I love the phone but just won't keep it past day 30 if this persists.

Just for ref , I have a 16GB MC603B model ( UK ) , and no antenna issues or screen issues.
