only issue with mine is my damn battery.. I'm SUPER unimpressed so far... my first phone had a faulty battery, this second one still doesn't seem like it lasts very long.

EVERYTHING is off, and i mean everything, even 3G, and after 4 hours I'm at 60% battery already... just doesn't seem right.

EDIT: 4 hours standby, only 23 min. usage... such a shame, I love the phone but just won't keep it past day 30 if this persists.

That's messed up, I have been getting 6-7hrs usage and 10-15 hrs standby these past couple days. Make sure your email settings are set to push and not 15 min. Intervals on all your email accounts. Also try a complete restore, and start from scratch, not a back-up.

Agreed. I'm at 77% with 1 hour 26 minutes of usage and 5 and a half hours of standby.

Why push? Wouldn't this use more battery than a 15min - 1 hour fetch schedule?

Even apple themselves on their website state that turning off push helps save battery life.

I'm right there with you! That's one thing that is great on my iPhone 4. I'm at 81% with 1 hour 25 minutes of use and 5 hours 10 minutes if standby. For once in not having to charge my phone at 2 in the afternoon to make it through the work day!

i have mc319LL (32gb black i4)
Same as mines.

Is your screen warm or cool?

I preferably don't mine either. My 2G iPhone had the cooler tone, and my 1G iPod touch I am currently typing off right now is the warmer color. Pictures that reflect shadows does show better in the warmer screen. Have a pic of by cousin standing under a tree. I couldn't see her eyes in my original iPhone than on the iPod touch because of the shadow. The blue-ish tone did make it darker. But I really don't have a preference which tone.

Well, it depends on how much email you get. In order for your phone to get you email messages it has to make a data connection with your email provider to sync your inbox. So let's say you use yahoo, when you get a new email, if you have push on, yahoo will then push the sync to your phone, like how you receive a text message. But if you have it set up at 15 min. Intervals, then every 15 min. Your phone will make a data connection with yahoo to sync your mail, whether you have new messages or not. So if you say have 3. Email accounts, then every 15 min. You phone will make a data conection 3 times to each service and you can see how that could kill your battery.

Try setting it to push for the rest of the day and see how your battery responds for the rest of day, if it's the same, try a restore. If you don't want to lose your data, when you set up the phone again, give it a different name so it won't erase your previus back, that way you can just try this without losing your old information. Also check your reception, if you have low signal strength, that will eat up your battery as well. When I first got the iPhone, my battery was the same as my 3G, I found out it was because of how I hold my phone I wold lose signal stregth and would drain the battery much quicker. Since then I have adjusted and my battery life is much better, though I'm still waiting to see if there is a fix for the reception, I would prefer to not have to constantly think about how I'm holding the phone for the next 2 years.

Edit: right now I'm at 80% with 1:30 hr usage and 3:15 hr standby.

Hmmm...my black 32gb iPhone 4 has a model number displayed as MC610LL.

I have the same model as you and
everything is good except the reception and battery life. I have. 74% of my battery life left with 1 hour 27 minutes of usage with 1 hour 59 minutes of standby. And I have my brightness at 35%, mail set to fetch every hour, bluetooh off, push notircations off, and 3G on. Should I get this checks out at the genius bar?

I also have that model 32 gig and everything seems cherry... I can replicate signal issues but never lost signal, plus I have a bumper so. My battery seems to be holding up great... I have to emails set to push every hour and with usage and songs throughout the day I usually end with at least 35-50% battery life left. Not bad compared to my old env 3 that would die every night.

Mine says: Model A1332 EMC 380A... :confused:

Anyway it's only issue is every time I talk on the darn thing the speaker phone or mute button gets pushed.

Ditto on model #... no issue with proximity sensory though...:)

ETA: I have issues with 3G also. Phone generally behaves better with 3G turned off...

Please look in Settings/General/About for your actual model number. The number on the back of the phone (A1332 EMC 380A) is a generic number. My 32gb black iPhone 4 has a model number of MC610LL.

32 GB iPhone 4 Black

MC610LL

1. 3G spotty (where it wasn't with my 3GS phone)
2. Antenna issue present
3. No other issues

MC608LL here. 16gb Black. No real issues to report. I can replicate the signal issue by holding my hands over the lower left corner, but so far no calls dropped and no issues with the Wi-Fi. My 5:00 a.m. waiting in line has so far seemed, well worth the effort!

Had a MC308LL no reception issues but had camera issue. Swapped it out at genius bar and got a MC318LL ...no reception issues but still have a slight discoloration with camera but not as bad as before...I'm happy with my ip4. Wouldn't trade for any droid or go back to 3GS.

ok so

for phones in the US:
MC318LL = Black, 16GB
MC319LL = Black, 32GB
MC610LL = Black, 32GB

for phones in the UK:
MC603B = Black, 16GB

Doh! Mine is MC318LL. Have reception issue, but not to point of dropped calls. Turning off 3G solves my "dancing" bars issue...
