My music library is around 15GB, but I don't listen to all of it all the time so I went with the 16. I put my favorite stuff on the device, then I stream the other stuff using Orb or Pandora if I want something new.

I currently have 4GB free after taking some pictures and video at a wedding. I typically take my photos and videos off my camera after taking them so they don't really end up using permanent space on my phone.

I also have the whole country Navigon app which takes up 2GB on its own.

Really it just depends on how much stuff you want to have with you at any given time and how often you sync your phone to your computer.

I wish there was a 64GB one tbh, but since there isn't I will have to settle for the 32GB, although as others have said we can't predict your needs so its a choice you will have to make on your own.

Not only video files take up the extra space. That new 5MP camera means that picture files take up almost double the space they uswed to.

I had a 16GB 3G and it was almost constantly full of music and apps. With the iPhone 4 I went with the 32 GB for the extra space.
Exactly the reasons why I went for the 32GB.

The higher MP and resolution, the more memory it takes. Even the typical TV shows purchased in iTunes will take up more space now if bought at higher resolutions. That's why I don't plan to get a 1080p/8MP iPhone next year even with the memory boost to 64GB. I don't need 8MP since I don't need to blow up pictures into billboards.

To the OP, yes. Get the 32GB. Filling up 320x240 or 640x480 videos in your iPhone is much different than the current resolution. You could lose memory space much faster now. If you plan mostly to try to hold music, then 16GB could be satisfactory enough. More memory is more future proof.

Thanks for the responses people. Sounds like 32GB it is! Now, I just have to find one.....
Smart man. You will never regret having too much space, especially at the relatively small price difference. "Aw man, this device has too much space!" You just don't hear that. But you sure hear the opposite. The only time it really counts is when it's significantly more expensive, and you KNOW you won't use it (which is why I was easily able to justify the 16gb wifi Ipad. It still only has about 2.5gb of space used on it.)
