Trying to see if this can be done: iPhone 4 with user restrictions set to block/disallow YouTube and Safari. Video is also set to None. Phone has SafeEyes from internetsafety_dotcom installed and active, but it is not blocking all YouTube content.

Case in point: client browses a FB posting which has an imbedded YT video. He clicks the video and is shown YT inside the FB app and can now hit the search button in YT and go get any YT video he wants, totally bypassing the setting on iOS for "no YouTube" videos.... so, is there any way to shut off YT access underneath an app like FB so there is no way to access it on his phone (short of jailbreak and editing etc/hosts) ?

Would the newer iOS allow better YT control? The phone is running v5 iOS at the moment.

Thanks for any help with this - I am stuck and figured some smarter people here would know the answer.... TIA.

Ended up jail breaking the phone and using iFile to edit etc/hosts to add all the YouTube & FB video server domains. Not pretty but it works fine.
