That Q-Power FC13 looks like one of the cheap HK ones from eBay, just with more power.

I'm getting a Mophie Juice Pack Plus in the mail sometime this weekend (well 2 actually thanks to Best Buy). I should know performance and such sometime next week on the black one. If the black is the same as the yellow (and it should be since it is just a color swap on the plastic) then the Mophie Plus is the way to go.

I completely killed my phone (1% left to be exact). I flipped the switch and about an hour later was at 48% with 3 bars left in the case. After a total time of 2 and a half hours the case was at 1 bar and the phone was at 83%. Now I starte using hte phone again heavily so I'm not sure what the battery on the device would top out at but it stayed at roughly 80% for the next couple hours using the juice from the case as I checked e-mail during a meeting and then played Bad Company 2 over 3g (which is draining).

Overall I got 2 full days of heavy usage (both data and device proper). I unplugged on Monday morning at 0500 and then started to recharge on Tuesday, well technically early Wednesday morning at 0100. At the end of that second day the case was completely dead, but the phone had 21% left.

The Juice Pack Air lasted me about the same but the phone was totally dead at the end of a two day marathon.

For reference I use the Mophie when I am on travel. I usually forget to recharge or am constantly using my phone as my primary e-mail/work device. Well also for play. Love me some games.

Side-note: This reminds me that Dead Space came out last night.

I'd definitely love to pick up a mophie but it seems a bit too bulky for me. But I can see it does the job!

It's weird. In pictures and side by sides the case looks absolutely massive when compared to a naked iPhone. Once it is on the phone though, it feels great and actually part or the phone.

It isn't much heavier actually and the curved back makes it seem significantly smaller than it is. Overall it just feels right even though it really shouldn't. It should feel like a bigger product than the Defender and it is, but it actually doesn't feel that awkward.

Again, hard to describe since it is pretty big in comparison to most every other case out there. The thickness isn't noticable in my hoodie and work jacket at all but it does stick out slightly in my jeans pocket. Still fits in there.

Two other really big benefits is that one, it uses the micro USB port for charging and syncing. No worrying about whether the Apple cable you have will fit in the stupid opening because a case manufacturer screwed it up. I use a Blackberry charger to plug it into the wall and sync.

Finally, the sound is significantly louder. Audio is easier to hear and I don't accidently cover up the speakers when playing games.

Oh, and yes Dead Space on the iPhone is an amazing game. Must buy for fans of games.

Wow! Dual battery? and it still looks pretty thin. Has anyone had any experience with any of their previous cases? They look nice and definitely look worth the wait for the dual.

First flaw I see is that the speaker and mike still face down. On the mophie they are redirected forward which is MUCH better.

It also does not look thinner that the mophie.

Is the EMV the same as the Q-Power ?

Thanks a lot for that. I actually might give it a try, just using a naked phone right now and loving it. Kinda lazy to take off the full body skin as well to make it fit into the mophie.

The major flaw with ALL iPhone battery cases is that there is no protective lip for the screen of the iPhone. ALL of them sit flush with the screen. With the added weight of the battery case, you can guarantee yourself a shattered screen soon from a simple drop that a normal case with a protective screen lip would prevent.

my friend owns the mophie and its great! the only thing that i didn't like was the fact that it's quite heavy. but it keeps on charging!!

That isn't true about the Mophie. The is a slight lip on it, more so with the plus. I lay it face down all the time on my desk and it does sit up slightly. Like 2 millimeters or so. It isn't a huge lip like the Candyshell but it is enough.

Also, I dropped my Air several times. Never had a problem with my screen shattering. The screen is still like new without a scratch since I have a screen protector on it.

The plus seems to be a bit more protective with the grippy/rubbery back and buttons on the outside of the case. Obviously not a Defender or my favorite the Candyshell but I think it will survive the daily struggle of life. I haven't dropped the Plus yet (hoping I don't since the yellow one I have been using is going to a friend) but it feels solid all around especially with the phone fitting so snug in the case.

If you can't tell this is one of my new favorites. I like this one a lot more than my Air (which was good case but I hated the button cutouts). When my black Plus ones come it I may this as my new everyday case. If not it will definitely go into rotation with my Candyshell for weekend stuff or trips for work.

Well, here I am with my tail tucked between my legs, but I think I promised a review if I got one.
Ivyskin Quattro Smartcase: epic fail. Could be the best ever, but no.

The Smartcase is a nightmare. Company is as described. Unresponsive and downright hostile.
Can't figure it out. The products are close to being excellent, but have fatal flaws.
Also had a bad experience with their iPad case.
I'll never do business with them again. I don't believe I'll get my money back.

I recently bought the QYG-Power FC8 and the case looks great. I got it from eBay for $39.99 and the ad states it is New and the upgraded version 2 where the battery indicator light does not stay on, only when the power button is pressed. The case feels and looks great, but I need to know if this is actually a "new version" or is it a broken one peddled off as a "version 2"?

Also, how exactly do these battery cases work (or this specific one)? Do the case battery gets used first or do the iPhone 4 battery gets used first and the case is just the back up? Sorry for all these new questions, but I couldn't google this info. Thanks!

Getting a screen protector is cheap and easy if you guys are worried about screen protection! I've used the EMVY case (with no screen protector) for over 6 months now with no problems at all (yes ive dropped it numerous times).

The version 1 also had some that came with the light turning off. There isn't really anyway to figure out if its the version 1 or 2 without opening up the case to check a few things. A major difference between version 1 and 2 is that the 2nd has a much sturdier connection at the usb plug.

The QYG and EMVY case both charge the phone and case at the same time. It does not charge the phone first or the case first like most of the other cases out there. ALso the cycling between case to phone is buggy for most cases, this is why we designed the EMVY case to charge both at the same time until both are at 100%. This is a huge plus for the case.

ivyskin

ive bought a few things from ivyskin (much to my regret) - their products are not bad but they have the worst customer service of any company u have dealt with - also they promise things months before they can actually deliver them - for my 3gs they said their battery case would be available about a month after the phone came out - was more like 8 months
