I came into work around 2 this after noon. It was at 100% I have been playing games and texting all after noon. Downloading more apps of the app store and currently it is at 43%.

Here's where I'm at currently with my iPhone 4

**edit - holy crap the screen shots are huge, lol. **

I edited a movie in iMovie for about 90 mins straight last night and it used twenty percent of my battery life. I was pleased with that.

Used it yesterday from 1pm at 100% and by midnight it was only at 43%
Played games, used twitter, safari, texted. I am pleased.

The battery performance is a little lower than I had expected, but I'm going to let it drain all the way down tonight and then go for a full charge overnight to see what that does.

Does keeping multitasking programs closed help reduce battery life? What DOES help increase battery life?

I had my phone charged this morning fully, and it went dead around 630pm, charging right now, It will give me usage data after this it says, but I'm assuming it won't show the data for how much usage I got out of that first initial charge.

But, I wasn't all that impressed with the battery overall. I didn't think that I was using the phone all that much, albeit it was more than my normal usage.

I am happy with it though, I was just expecting more.

Hopefully I get better useage once the battery is broken in.

Yeah that's what I want to know.

And again - lets see if anyone can help answer my question. :)

Thrilled!!

I posted this in another thread. I'm thrilled with my results. Heavy Usage!! Safari, Lots of Social Media App usage; Facebook (Battery Suck), Tweet Deck, Foursquare, Scrabble, Facetime...I beat the hell out of it the first 24 hours to excellent results. I ended up getting about 6hrs and 45mins of usage before it died with 26hrs of usage. Sweet!

Looks like it can finally replace my iPod.

Left it to charge overnight. Light app usage: facebook, twitter, safari, kindle. Recorded and edited a video in iMovie (and synced to my desktop which was the only time it was attached to the computer). I ran the iPod app (and some Pandora) pretty much all day, something I was never able to do with my 3G if I wanted to have enough battery to make a phone call after work.

Right now I'm at 12% and I'm running Star Trek to try and burn up the rest of the battery so that I can condition it.

From 100% to fully drained web surfing, facebook, and twitter on WiFi with 3G, GPS, and BT turned off I got 8 hours and 48 minutes.
