Not possible at the moment.
Maybe a new unlock will come out but not sure for what baseband version.

Of course there will be an unlock. How long? Nobody knows expect the for iPhone Dev-Team and they're not big on giving out ETA's.

I am from India and just got iPhone 4 locked with 4.1 .
I upgraded it to 4.2.1 and its broadband is 03.10.01 . can anybody tell me how to unlock it so that i can use make calls.
I am new to iPhone and i m not able to use it due to its lock and its very annoying . Please help me out from this. can i be ever use it or it is just wastage of money?

It might be possible down the road but who knows how long will that take.
If you can try to sell it and then purchase one thats officially unlocked so you wont have to worry about unlocks and basebands any more.
What is so hard to understand? You cannot unlock it now. So you have 3 choices:
1. Sell it
2. Wait
3. Use it with the original carrier.
do all new iPhone 4 has same broadband(03.10.01) if not can i downgrade it to 4.1 from 4.2.1 . Will this solve the problem? or baseband has no connection with the iOS?

YOU CANNOT RIGHT NOW DOWNGRADE AN IPHONE 4's BASEBAND.

Ok, Last time.
You CANNOT do nothing right now.
Basebands cannot be downgraded once updated.
And yes, all new iphone 4's will come preinstalled with 4.1 or 4.2.1 so those will not be able to be unlocked either.

Like I told you above there may be a new unlock in the future that will unlock it but nothing right now.
All you can do is wait.
Really, man, come on. It means what it says. Right now, it is not capable of being unlocked. Most likely in the future there will be some unlock, BUT NO ONE KNOWS WHEN right now.

Yes, if its locked to AT&T you can use any prepaid AT&T sim with it while you wait for a new unlock.

Aren't you frustrated. Some people just can't read. Just type in iPhone 4 unlock and do some research people! It's really annoying when there are 20 threads asking the same thing!
