iPhone 4 buying loop-hole

Hi Guys

So last year I went into a Best Buy Store. I told the guy that I wanted the iPhone 3GS and I wanted it as a gift for my friend (So I had to pay full price). When I got home I was able to unlock it from AT&T and use my own carrier.

So my question is - will I be able to do the same with the iPhone 4?

There's no need to lie to them you can buy an iPhone at full price from any authorized dealer.

iPhones are subsidized if you sign up for a contract. Therefore no contract = no subsidy = full price

No because they make you sign a 2 year contract before you leave the store.
