I use an airport express on wifi N mode. My iphone 4 won't display the network and I cannot connect to it using the "Other..." option.

It works find on my iPad.

*update: it sees all the networks around me

Take note of the frequency of the network. If it's 5GHz only, your iPhone won't be able to see it. Computers and your iPad support 2.4 or 5 GHz n networks. To verify or change the frequency/radio mode, access AirPort Utility and click Manual Setup. Under the Wireless tab, go to the dropdown by Radio mode, then choose b/g compatible or 2.4 GHz if its something else.

did you prevent your ssid from being broadcast? i did that to mine, so i usually have to broadcast it temporarily to get things to recognize it, like my wii. once it's set up, i go back to hiding it.
