Iphone 4 for uk?

If i buy sim free iphone 4 in usa, will it work in UK? Obviously buy straight from apple and get it delivered to my relatives adress in WI?????????
 
You cannot buy an officially locked iphone in the US. They are all locked to AT&T.
Try Canada, Mexico or some other country that sells them unlocked.
