Hello all! I recently found my old iPhone 4, and it's locked with a passcode. I remember having tons of photos on there that I'd like to go through. I can't remember the passcode, and if i try to sync it to my new iMac to import photos, it says I have to select "trust" on my phone. I can't do this because the phone is locked. I no longer have the laptop that I used to use for this iPhone. On to the question; I can probably get the passcode right if I try enough since it's always numbers that pertain to my life. However, I know the phone will lock for 1 minute at 6 attempts, 5 min at 7, 15 min at 8, 1 hour at 9, and will be disabled at 10. I remember having this issue before when I got my iPhone 5 and was trying to access photos on my 4. (I got it that time, eventually) After forgetting my passcode then, the phone would get disabled temporarily and I'd just throw it back in the drawer and try again some other time. I think when I tried again at a later date, I was able to try another 6 times before getting a disabled message.
So, is there a certain amount of time I can wait so that the "attempts" number gets reset? Right now if I turn the phone off and try again it locks for 5 min, 15 min, etc. after the first attempt. I'm in no rush to recover the photos, though it would be nice to.
Thanks!
