iphone 4 free space issue in iTunes

Hi Guys,
I've got a 16gig iPhone 4 factory unlocked. When I try to sync it gives me an error saying that I have no free space, then it tells me it can't be synced. Then iTunes will incorrectly display the free space. Right now its telling me I've got 10 gigs free, but I've actually got 305 megs free.

I've tried resetting the phone.

This only happens occasionally, anyone else run into this weird problem?

Yes. Usually it'll let me sync though. In the off-chance that it doesn't, a soft reset clears up the issue.
