iphone 4 frozen

Listened to music on my iphone for a while today. Then after a few minutes when I was finished, I tried to use the phone and it was frozen black like it was off. Could not get it to come on. Plugged it into the wall and I get the "slide for emergency, connect to itunes" screen. I plug it into the computer and nothing happens, stays black.

any suggestions, ideas?

Plug it into the computer and hold both the home and power buttons and see if anything happens.
