iphone 4 - hardware versions?

until a few days ago i had an iphone 3g that was (barely) functioning..., but then i forgot that i had put it in my bathing suit pocket....

i bought the phone on ebay a few years ago, and have no contract.

i had been planning to get an iphone 5 as soon as it was available.

but, i can't be without a phone till october..., and i'm not the type to wait in lines, so maybe it will be even longer for me to get one.

i'm thinking of buying a used iphone 4 on ebay, and then selling it when it's convenient for me to get an iphone 5 - or keeping it if i don't feel the need to upgrade.

i was also thinking of getting a refurb from att and signing the contract.

what i need to know is...

are there different hardware versions of the iphone 4?

for example - was there ever a hardware change because of the big antenna ruckus?

any other changes?

No. All iPhone are supposed to be the same, minor manufacturing issues aside.

Yeah, earlier this year a new version was released. It's white instead of black.
