Makes perfect sense to me and I took a KUSH break today.

OP is saying instead of the new HEX screws (2) at the bottom of his phone he has 3GS style phillips screws.

As did the ifixit teardown, they all have philips screws AFAIK.

The pics on the apple website have hex screws and I believe the newer produced ones do. The first leaked one had Phillips and I believe the first teardown only had 256 ram.

Actually, it has Torx® Plus/TX 5-pointed security screws. The tools to remove them are available only to licensed service providers.
