Nothing plays out to the the tv, the cable works with the 4s perfectly as i tried my better halfs but when i put my iphone 4 in its just a blank screen. I have tried the various apps from cydia to no avail. I just wanted it so i could play videos from mobilevids.org to my tv, any help will be greatly appreciated

Either you buy the Apple TV and use AirPlay, or the Component A/V cable, or the VGA cable. Or an 4S.

But the iPhone 4 doesn't support the HDMI adapter.

Your point being? If the device doesn't support HDMI output, switching it on for an App won't help.
