I just updated my iphone 4 to 4.0.2 and now when I go into my pictures they show up in one black screen, if I tap on the screen as if I was going to enlarge the photo they pop up but when I hit camera roll button it goes all black again and i cant see the photos.

I tried to restore and it still doesn't help.....any ideas?

Oh yeah, vie had the phone since yesterday.

this is all software corruption. you need to import your photos to your computer from the iPhone. (iPhoto on a mac, whatever else on a PC) and then restore your iPhone completely. When its done restoring set it up as a new iPhone and NOT from backup as the backup is storing the corruption. Then just sync your photos and whatever other information.

When I do this do I need to pull out the sim card or will restoring it as a new phone not have any affect on the sim?

No need to remove the SIM, doing a restore will affect only the phone itself.

well it took a few times but it worked....thanks guys!
