I have a iPhone 4 with the 4.0.1 OS. It has been jail-broken a while ago with limera1n. My kid bro accidently sync'd my phone and I lost all my apps. Cant re-download them with installous as they have been upgraded and it says I need the 5.0.1 IOS. I've been trying to restore the phone and then re-jailbreak it but it wont work (Error 3194 when i try to restore it) and I cant find a way to upgrade the jailbreak (if thats even possible) to 5.0.1. I saw a post online about changing the host details then putting my phone into DFU mode and restoring it but I was apprehensive as itunes said it was going to update to 5.01 and I was worried that would brick my phone. I've been looking online and saw this forum which looks very useful. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
